Default Bubble gum on the bedpost

I need to settle a discussion between my wife and I. Does anyone know a song from the 50's with the lyrics "Does bubble gum lose its flavor on the bedpost overnight" any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Chewing gum, rather the bubble gum, perhaps?

Lonnie Donegan's "Does your chewing gum lose its flavour?"

I would have thought it was him too [Lonnie Donegan]

It was based on the 1924 original by Ernest Hare & Billy Jones "Does The Spearmint Lose Its Flavor On The Bedpost Overnight?

Whether that is relevant or not I dunno.
