Learning Romanian language

I was wondering if anybody has any of the following DJ Project tracks that they would be willing to send as mp3's. I am listening all the time on Youtube, but would like just the tracks instead of the videos.

How would I say I 'still' have a bad back.

I am thinking 'am durere de spate' is most of it, but how do I add the 'still' bit.

I think "still" is încă. Not sure, "încă am durere(a) de spate(le)"?

dragonfly's right. still = încă so the translation for ur sentence would be: inca am durerea de spate or inca ma mai doare spatele (= my back still hurts me)

would 'durerea' be the fem. of durere? and is it fem. because 'I' am fem. or because of 'spate'

I do like the second version, sadly I will be using it a lot until my back stops hurting.

No. The "a" is the definite article (the). This indicates that durere is feminine.
Most body parts in Romanian are neutral gender--that is, they appear masculine as singular, but feminine as plural.

Thankyou, I was momentarily totally confused then, wondering how 'hurts' could have a gender lol but of course I was translating to myself in english when in fact the sentence actually says

still I have 'the' pain of the back....is that a correct translation?

doare comes from the verb "a durea" (to hurt)
e.g. My back hurts. - Mă doare spatele.

dor (noun) is a word that has no exact translation in any language, it's what in English is called "longing"; it describes the feeling you have when you miss someone
e.g. I miss her. - Mi-e dor de ea.

dor - 3rd person plural of the verb "a durea"
e.g. My legs hurt. - Mă dor picioarele.

durere is the equivalent for pain
e.g. The pain is unbearable. - Durerea e de nesuportat.

I finally worked my way through all 43 pages on here, copying and pasting all the romanian translations and questions/answers into a word doc....now i just have to read it all and try and understand.....

Wow Darcy! Even I didn't go through all that, only the first 5 or so, then a few in the middle, and resumed participation by page 36 or 37!!!

lol it's taken me 2 evenings. I am stuck in the house with a bad back, so I can't do much else.

Now reading it and understanding it is another matter entirely lol

I think it'd be good if someone got all these words and phrases and put them onto a seperate thread or something. Like every new thing we learn here can be added to it so anyone who is new or a regular user who wants to find the phrases quickly can just search the one thread without all out chatting inbetween.

That is exactly the reason why we created separate threads for Learning and for Speaking And from time to time, moderators check this thread and remove all posts that have nothing to do with asking/answering questions related to learning romanian language .

also..a question about time I have read in one phrase book that Romanians use a 24 hour clock, is this right?

in the afternoon/evening would you say
2 o clock or 14?

they use a 24hr clock. Most young ppl would understand (and probably all ppl, not sure though) an am/pm time.

la ora paisprezece sau la ora paişpe (the latter is more informal)
