    Cred ca da. Asta inteleg la fel.

    Construind = building/constructing
    din talent = from talent/skillfully.

    Buna seara.

    Yesterday I found a Romanian book in a second hand bookstore, I was so shocked lol I had to buy it.

    O Ancheta Dificila by Nicolae Neagu

    I think that is 'A difficult Investigation' ?? and I am guessing it is a crime novel. I am excited to read it but fear it will take me years hahaha

    O seara frumoasa.x

    Hi everyone,
    i am very new here but i am so happy i found a site like this.
    i need some help in a phrase i think.
    "Asteapta-ma la jumatatea drumului"
    i learned that it means "meet me halfway" but wondering if this has a meaning different then that ?

    Literally, it means "wait for me at the half of the way", so I'm not really sure what you mean.
    așteapta = wait (command form)
    mă = me (for me, in this case)
    la = at
    jumatatea = the half
    drumului = the way's (possessive form, aka the genitive)

    By the way, welcome, Ercmnt!!!

    No problem! Usually I'm around every day, and can help you with most basic questions, though I've been studying for a very short time on my own time!

    I found this strange expression in a forum:

    ferit-a Sfăntu' să zici ceva...

    What does it mean?

    Away from the Saint to say something...

    Where'd you find that? Is it a signature? (Isn't it Sfântu anyways, not Sfăntu?)

    What does it mean?
    It's hard to translate it into English ..and I can't remember its English equivalent now ....

    It's an expression used by someone to forbid you to say something you know about something / someone .

    I hope you've got it ..maybe someone will come with a better explanation

    Ai mâncat pâine de fructe, sau (?) a mâncat pe toate (?) fratele tău?

    Maybe check it with a native speaker

    Not sure if you should use "iar" instead of "sau", or something else... And the second part of the sentence is maybe a little awkward Not sure in what order this goes (subject before or after verb???)

    I have used

    ne vedem curand

    to be see you soon, but then read it translated as 'shall we see each other soon?'...as in more of a question....so can it be both a statement and a question?

    Also I saw 'pe curand' does this mean see you soon aswell?
