Hi!! Can anybody tell me what the lyrics to this great Sibel can / Tarkan song is saying??? Çok Tesekkürler!!!

    İçimde bir kıpırtı var, hayrola?
Hop oturup, hop kalkıyor gönül okuyor canıma
Ne desem boş sığmıyor ki ele avuca
    Diyor ki leyla kavuştu mecnununa...

    Offf of
Gafil avladı bu kez kahbe felek
Bir yolunu bulup oyuna getirdi yine
    Tuzaklarına düşürdü beni bilerek
    Offf of
Her halinden azıcık belli o da
    Yere bakan yürek yakanlardan
    Ateşten gömlek...

    Yine başımda kavak yelleri
    Bacayı sardı yarin alevleri
    Deli yansa da gönül aldırmıyor

    Ama çakmak çakmak o gözleri
    Tam 12'den vurdu kalbimi
    Olan oldu bu gönül
    Ferman dinlemiyor..

Bakışı gülüşü pek hoş, ağzından bal akıyor
Onsuz hayat boş can katıyor canıma
    İçimde kelebekler uçuşuyor,
    Yol aldım aşıklar diyarına...

    Offf of
Gafil avladı bu kez kahbe felek
Bir yolunu bulup oyuna getirdi yine
    Tuzaklarına düşürdü beni bilerek
    Offf of
Her halinden azıcık belli o da
    Yere bakan yürek yakanlardan
    Ateşten gömlek...

    Yine başımda kavak yelleri
    Bacayı sardı yarin alevleri
    Deli yansa da gönül aldırmıyor

    Ama çakmak çakmak o gözleri
    Tam 12'den vurdu kalbimi
    Olan oldu bu gönül
    Ferman dinlemiyor..
    "Aşkın olmadan mutlu olamam."

Hi folks, I'm trying to work on a non-literal, free translation of this song based on the direct translation provided by our friend Seda, here: http://www.allthelyrics.com/forum/289402-post65.html.

I have to say, it's proven to be a challenge and a great difficult task to complete. I have done parts of it and would really appericiate it if one of our Turkish speaking friends could fill in the gaps an alter parts that would give a more meaningful translation. Again, it does not have to be word for word. I just want to capture the meaning of the song so that it would make sense to an English speaker. So if some of the Turkish message is altered around when translating it, then that's totally fine.

Anyways, here's what I have so far:

    Çakmak çakmak / Steel

İçimde bir kıpırtı var, hayrola? / I’m feeling a nudgiing tingle within me, What is it?
Hop oturup, hop kalkıyor gönül okuyor canıma / My heart’s pounding like mad, giving me a lot of displeasure
Ne desem boş sığmıyor ki ele avuca / Whatever I say is worthless which doesn’t go very far????
Diyor ki leyla kavuştu mecnununa... / ?

    Offf of / Offf of
Gafil avladı bu kez kahbe felek / Fate has cursed me this time
Bir yolunu bulup oyuna getirdi yine / It found a way that managed to trap me again
Tuzaklarına düşürdü beni bilerek / Entrapping me on purpose once again

    Offf of / Offf of
Her halinden azıcık belli o da / It’s obvious that he will take????
Yere bakan yürek yakanlardan / He’s the type of person that glances below????
    Ateşten gömlek... / ?

Yine başımda kavak yelleri / ?
Bacayı sardı yarin alevleri / ?
Deli yansa da gönül aldırmıyor / ?

Ama çakmak çakmak o gözleri / But his Steel like eyes
Tam onikiden vurdu kalbimi / Throws my heart into despair due to his stunning features
Olan oldu bu gönül / ?
    Ferman dinlemiyor.. / ?

Bakışı gülüşü pek hoş / His looks and smiles are charming
Ağzından bal akıyor / Words of honey stream out of his mouth
Onsuz hayat boş / My life would be in vaid without him
Can katıyor canıma / He infuses new life into me
İçimde kelebekler uçuşuyor / The feeling of butterflies filled in my stomach occurs
Yol aldım aşıklar diyarına... / I’ve managed to cross over, reaching the land of lovers

ok, you want free translations but you know there are some people who are learning Turkish here, so we are trying to translate word to word. But at the same time, we make some explanations about the non-sense parts. I looked at my translation again and I saw that I did such things. But I will try to make it more clear for you. I don't know whom the translation you gave belongs to but it is also a good one. now I will try to make some parts more clear:

    ÇAKMAK ÇAKMAK
    STEEL-LIKE

    İçimde bir kıpırtı var, hayrola?
I have a slight movement in my inside, what's up (or I hope it's good)
Hop oturup, hop kalkıyor gönül okuyor canıma
Heart is hopping madly (and) give me hell/trouble
Ne desem boş sığmıyor ki ele avuca
What I say is gainless, "doesn't squeeze words" (this means whatever I say is so much that they cannot be told by words)
    Diyor ki leyla kavuştu mecnununa...
(It) says that leyla has reached her mecnun (leyla&mecnun are mythical lovers)

    oooo of of
Gafil avladı bu kez kahbe felek
Fickle fortune took me at a disadvantage this time
Bir yolunu bulup oyuna getirdi yine
It found a way and trapped again
    Tuzaklarına düşürdü beni bilerek
    Entrapped me on purpose again
    ooo of of
    Her halinden azıcık belli
It is a little bit obvius from every state of him,
o da yere bakan yürek yakanlardan
He's also among the people who look at floor (below) and set on fire hearts (This idiom is used for catty people),
    Ateşten gömlek...
(he is) ordeal (this means that the the beloved person or the love felt for him is a big trouble)

    Yine başımda kavak yelleri
(There are) poplar winds on my head (means "I have a state that being distant from the feeling of responsibility, folowing the delights, enjoyments, dreams or love)
    Bacayı sardı yarin alevleri
Darling's fires surrounded the chimney (means that I fell in love with the beloved)
    Deli yansa da gönül aldırmıyor
Heart doesn't care even if it burns in a crazy way*

    Ama çakmak çakmak o gözleri
But his that steel-like eyes (steel is adjective here, meaning his eyes are like a steel)
    Tam 12'den vurdu kalbimi
(They) bumped my heart from twelve( means he made me love him with his good features, he made it perfectly)
Olan oldu, bu gönül ferman dinlemiyor
whatever happened, this heart ignores the law/edict (means doesn't listen to me, does whatever it wants)

    Bakışı gülüşü pek hoş
His looking his smiling are so grateful
    ağzından bal akıyor
Honey streams from his mouth (means he talks sweety)
    Onsuz hayat boş
Life is in vain without him
    can katıyor canıma
He infuses new life to me
    İçimde kelebekler uçuşuyor
    Butterflies flit in my inside
    Yol aldım aşıklar diyarına...
I covered distance to land of lovers

*I had translated this part wrongly in my previous translation.

If there is anything that you don't understand in this translation, please ask again, I will explain more.

    Hey Seda, this is perfect.

Thank you so much. I imagine that this song must have been really difficult to do a free translation to. This is since giving the exact sort of meaning to some of the lines may not work out when thinking of how it might capture the same sort of meaning in English. Nonetheless, you did your best and I've now managed to understand most of it.

The only line I was about confused about is the last line. Does, "Yol aldım aşıklar diyarına..." mean that 'I've managed to cross over the road to reach the land of lovers'? Can this work out as a free translation to that specific line?

Thank you once again for your much appericiated efforts at helping out.

not at all Thin air. This song needs extra explanations, you are right about not understanding the exact meaning. and the last line; no, not the meaning you told. "Yol aldım aşıklar diyarına" means "I took the road to the land of lovers, I started the path going to the land of lovers". So, she is on that path, not managed to reach yet. I hope I could explain

and i can learn/know to be ash, too
    Yar diye bastim bagrima
    i embraced you as " sweetheart "
    Sikayetci de hic degilim
    i am not complainted.
    Seviyorum seni
    i do love you
    Seni seviyorum
    i love you
    İcim gidiyor sana
    i doze you ( means i care you )
    Üstüne titriyorum
i m trembling on you ( it also used for care and love )
    Askin atesten gömlek olsa da
even your love a shirt from fire
Yine yine yine yine yine giyecegim
i will wear again again and again , again
Bedeli kara zindan deseler bile girecegim
if they say it costs dark prisons, i will get in it
    Can dedigin sey senden ibaret
it is composed of you that you say " life" ( means life=you )
    Yani kisaca sana emanet
    shortly, it is entrusted you
    Leyla'yla Mecnun'dan daha da beterim
i m badly more than leyla and mecnun ( famous two lovers of history )
    Ölürsem hakkini bana helal et
if i die legitimate your justice to me
