    Default Help with song.

I've googled for hours but haven't come up with anything. Here part of the lyrics. It would be great if someone knew the artist or possibly song name.

"feel the wind coming in from the east
and I can hear my homeland calling me
come back, come back to me now
i can hear my homeland calling me

There's a fire burning in my belly
i can hear my mama calling me
hear my mama calling me back

way down the road that never ends
i can hear my father calling me
    hear my father calling
come back, come back to me now"

    Thanks

Do you know the genre and tempo of the song? Any other pertinent info would also help, such as male/female, age of song, or maybe if you remember where you heard it, if you know this.

I have no clue. that guitar sounding part in the beginning has an Irish feel to it though. But then it goes into like a folk rock, then back to the Irish (or something like that) sound for the chorus

I can tell you the start of the song is an Irish folk tune called Drowsy Maggie.
The band playing this version [with lyrics] I don't know....I thought it was normally an instrumental.
Sounds a little bit like early Fairport Convention or Lindisfarne.

Anyway here's what I've heard it played like before.

YouTube - Trad Irish tune - Drowsy Maggie

Maybe that will help you find your version - it possibly has the same title.

I've never heard it before , but i'm really liking it, I'd be interested in hearing more of this band

Can you give us some idea where the sample is from...radio, cd, film, tape etc
    maybe that might help
