Love & hate???

Hey everyone. I'd appreciate your help here please. I am looking for an 80's track, sung by young lady playing her guitar. (Not dissimilar to KT Tunstall complexion wise). The only lyric I can remember is something along the lines of;

"There's a ***** ****** between/of love and hate....."

It isn't the Pretenders covering the Persuaders 'Thin Line Between...', I have already ruled that out. Besides, this is a much cheerier party type song, with a very catchy instrumental section after the chorus, possibly played on the trumpet or a brass section. "Daaaaaa Da Da Da DaDa Daaaaaaa"

A ha! I think I have found it. Sorry about that. The lady in question is Tanita Tikaram, and I think the song is Good Tradition. I have had to search through a list of every chart from the 80's to find it, but I am just glad I did.

"There's a GOOD TRADITION of love and hate staying by the fireside...."

So at least I was along the right lines.
