Enigma is an electronic musical project founded by Michael Cretu, David Fairstein and Frank Peterson in 1990. Cretu is both the composer and the producer; his former wife Sandra often provided vocals on Enigma tracks. Jens Gad co-produced and played guitar on three of the Enigma albums.
Six studio albums have been produced under the name of the project. Their first and most successful album, MCMXC a.D., sold over sixteen million copies.
Enigma was among the first recording groups to use a digial audio workstation as a recording studio and and to include non-percussion musical instrument and vocal samples, such as the Shakuhachi flute and Gregorian monk chants samples.
The song that was linked is actually 2 tracks:
From 00:00 - 02:05 it's the opening track from MCMXCa.d. called "The Voice Of Enigma", from 02:05 until the end of the video it's "The Principles Of Lust a) Sadness (Pt.1)".
the 2nd track on the album "the Principles Of Lust" is split into three tracks:
a) Sadness pt.1
b) Find Love
c) Sadness pt.2
All of which are racy and sexually charges with gregorian chanting.
All of which made them not that popular with the Church at the time of release.
