Does anybody recognize these words as part of a song and if so what is it please? Tell me why the sun does shine, tell me why God made you mine.

I can tell you Greek lullabies, but English ones??? I know nothing about(only the ones that I hear from movies,so pretty limited)

I used to sing this song to my baby sister when she was tiny. It begain "I see the moon and the moon sees me, and the moon sees the somebody I'd like to see; So God bless the Moon and God bless me, and God bless the somebody I'd like to see." The it it went: God sent you down, from above, he sent you down just for me to love; He picked you out from all the rest, because He knew I'd love you the best." It was a very simple tune.
