@Balkaneuro: You must be right, it is Altin Shira. I know his music, I should have recognised him myself. This is the very first Albanian song that I ever heard. I was not very impressed at first. I thought it was very similar to Greek music. Only later did I learn to appreciate the unique character of Albanian music.
I have become some kind of fan of Altin Shira. I have about 50 of his songs. I even tried to order one of his records over the internet, but that proved to be impossible from Belgium. 'Ka nena nje vajze te bukur' and 'Xhan moj trendeline' are indeed two of my favourites. I am also very fond of 'Goce bukur me lezet', 'Per nje kafe' (of course, this song is very accessible, even if you are not familiar with Albanian music) and 'Luje valle pak per mua'. -

Very intriguing lyrics, this superb song by Sinan Hoxha. Almost every word is monosyllabic! I guess the title means something like 'The only thing I want'. I wonder if I guessed right. How about the spelling? Is it ēfarė or ē'farė?

It is a bit strange the first song, lyrics wise and the music is very greek influenced. It seems that people sing about anything these days, not a lot of thoughful stuff. He is practically just saying how the taximan became a friend of his because he helped him escape drove him away from his problems. If that is any help.

This may be slightly inapropriate, since it is not strictly about lyrics. I have a few questions about the song 'Kush do qė tė marrė grua' by someone called Rovena.
* What does the title mean? (guess: who would want that I take you with me, my wife)
* Who is the girl that sings this song? Has she a given name? Other songs from her?
* This interests me the most: is there a connection with Poni? The style of the song is very similar. Then, in the YouTube video you can see a somewhat older, rather stout man, in traditional Albanian dress who sings the male backing vocals. The same man (I think) appears in Poni's video 'Naten-o, vetem-o', playing bagpipes. Who is this man? Is he a well known artist too? Other songs by him?
