    Wink to parelthon thimithika

Hey cjgoofy, did you ever get help with this? I can translate most of this for you:

Kai pali ksanagirises - You've returned again
sti skepsi mou apopse - into my thoughts tonight
to parelthon thimithika - I remembered the past
ksipnisane fantasmata - the ghost woke up
me pirane ta klamata - I started crying
kardia kai ean poneses poli - my heart, even though you've been so hurt
to dakri an theleis kopse - if you could, please stop the tears

perasan apo ta matia mou - before my eyes have passed
    stigmes eutixismenes - lucky moments
kai ta svismena oneira - and the erased dreams
me riksane ta dakria - made my tears fall
koureli se mia akria - a rag in a corner
me nostalgia trigirno - I run around with nostalgia
se ores perasmenes - of hours past

ein xronia pou xorisame - it's been years since we've parted
mia nixta san apopse - a night like tonight
pote then ti lismonisa - I never got over it
exi zoi mas dramata - our life has dramas
pou fernoune ta klamata - that bring on the tears
kardia kai ean poneses poli - my heart, even though you've been so hurt
to dakri an theleis kopse - if you could, please stop the tears

    Default To Parelthon Thimithika

Thank you, helzbelz! Nice to find a translation here. Are you a native speaker? I worked in Greece for a couple of years on and off in the '80s and hope to return to the language as soon as I have more time. I had ancient Greek at school and enjoyed my time there enormously.

Hi Mon Brave...yes, I am a native speaker, although I was born in Indiana. I was the first born in the US, so I grew up speaking Greek, and have been to Greece several times over the past few years. It is such a wonderful country and I am heart-broken about what they are currently going through! My non-Greek husband has been learning the language through Rosetta Stone...we highly recommend the program! Good luck! And, by the way, Melina Aslanidou is one of our very favorites!!
