Default SOLVED: I would love to know what this song is...

I first heard it about 15 years ago and it was quite reggae ish. I remember the lyrics well but don't know who sung the song or what it was called.

She came right up to me, out of the blue
Smiled at me and then said, how do you do
I said are you on your own she said what do you think
So I went to the bar, and bought her a drink

Can't quite remember the next line, but then it goes
I drew down the blinds and I unplugged the telephone
The next morning I watched her as she got dressed
Cos I knew that the night had been a big success

    A harmless piece of fun
    I didn't mean to hurt no-one
Oh my god what have I done
    She's a fatal attraction

Any help from anyone would be greatly appreciated.

Gregory Isaacs is a reggae artist and has a song called "Fatal Attraction" on his 1989 "I.O.U." album. However, I cannot find the lyrics. Try the attached link to listen to a 30-second sample of the song.

It is Taxman as you say , Fatal attraction 1989 , i heard it on BBC Radio West Midlands in early 1990 on "the saturday night Reggae session" , also available on :
Reggae Hits, Vol. 6 on CD 2000. I only came across this forum by accident looking for the lyrics myself on a google search , although to be fair the guy does sing it quite clear , don't know his real name , ive done another google search but to no avail. still sounds fresh today after 19 years !! got it on MP3.

    @ skysky69
The song is Fatal Attraction as others said.
Something in the song really gets to me, as I've been looking for it for quite a long time since the early 1990s.
I just thought to look on YouTube, and now, hers what I thinks the lyrics are:
    FATAL ATTRACTION
She came right up to me, from out of the blue,
Smiled at me and then she said, how do you do,
I said are you on your own she said what do you think,
So I went to the bar, and bought her a drink.

My girl was away somewhere I took her we are on our own,
I drew down the blinds and I unplugged the telephone,
The next morning I watched her as she got dressed,
'Cause I knew that the night had been a big success.

    A harmless piece of fun,
I didn't mean to hurt no one,
Oh my God what have I done,
    I'm a fatal attraction.

I took a shallow gas-drink and went in to work.
But after I did the first time I felt like a joke
Cause when I got in to work there was enough for me
She want to see me again and I said no no please.
But in a café and I talked to his (sic) friend
But we are going to school.. but we canna see again.
She said okay she told me that it would be fine,
But I knew that the girl has something else in mind.

    A harmless piece of fun
I didn't mean to hurt no one
Oh my God what have I done
    I'm a fatal attraction.

She called me next day to say she need wider game
And about the night we spent she's gonna tell no one
She said she's gonna make a real big fool of me
And about the time she's done I'll be sorry
Then she lowered her voice and whispered on the phone
That she's hoping to God that I'm on my own
She said I'm crawling, she set my back against the wall
And she said sooner or later I'll plan to fall.

    A harmless piece of fun!
I didn't mean to hurt no one!
Oh my God what have I done!
    I'm a fatal attraction!

I sat my girl down and told her the whole story
My girl she frank-talked with me and then she want out of me.
So here I sleep alone in my empty place
Which just started with this girl and then staring into space.

    A harmless piece of fun!
I didn't mean to hurt no one!
Oh my God what have I done!
    I'm a fatal attraction!

    A harmless piece of fun!
I didn't mean to hurt no one!
Oh my God what have I done!
    I'm a fatal attraction!
