    Giassias,
by chance I found this song on youtube:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w6HMglUhQVs

I love this kind of greek music very much.

Could somebody provide the lyrics (greek letters are OK I can read them)
... and is this an original greek song, or does it have an turkish or bulgarian/slavic origin?

If, could you give me a link to hear the other versions of this song. I am very interested in such interferring/interchange in music and cultures.

    Thank you in advance,
    Tahira

After a quick search came up that the song writer is goran andric.
I assume he is from serbia or bosnia or herzegovina.
That kind of music gives me a memory of goran bregovic.
Goran is an inspired musician that we first notice here in Greece at 1990 from
a medley of OST "Times of the Gypsies" called "Paradextika" (imagine that the first owners still have it on vinyl LP!!!).
    His sites is www.goranbregovic.co.yu

    Hope this was helpfull
"Gilgamesh, where are you hurrying to?
You will never find that life for which you are looking.
When the gods created man they allotted to him death,
but life they retained in their own keeping"

Thanks a lot; I know Goran Bregovic and his some of his music - actually I came across him with thi CD PAradechtika with Alkistis ProtopsaltI; some of the songs he was also doing with Sezen Aksu (Turkey).

If you have some more ideas about "crossbordering music" I would be very interested in it.

    Thank you, Tahira
