Can someone please translate this song for me?
It's called "El toch halayla" by Roni Duani
    Thanks

Michal Amdurski - the guide to a Tel Aviv beginer
    ****************************************
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GSGtQO7l7m8

    תראה אותך קוסמופוליטי, דיגיטלי, מהונדס
אין לך כבר שום דבר להיות בו הראשון.
    אתה מדבר כמו גבר,
    אבל אתה רק ילד מחופש
אני אקח אותך הביתה ואשכיב אותך לישון.

Look at you, you are so "Cosmoplic", "Didgital", "Engineer"
You don't have something, to be "first" about
You talk like an older man
But you are just a kid that is dressed up like a man
I will take you home, and I will put you to bed\sleep

    אז אני אולי "פאסה"
    אבל עדיין מהממת.
    אני אראה לך הכל
    רק תסתובב ותתהפך.
    ולא זה לא הסוף שלי,
    אני רק מתחממת
    היית מת שחברה שלך
    הייתה יודעת איך.

    So, maybe I am "Passe"
    But I am still gorgeous
    I will show you everything
Just spin around, and turn over
And no, it is not my end
I am just heated up here \I am just getting warmer here
You wish \ you will die for if your girlfriend knew how

אני עשיתי כבר דברים שלא קראת בספרים
    והתעלפתי ברוקסן,
    כשעוד אכלת מבקבוק.
    וצבעתי וגילחתי ועשיתי שם חורים
    ולימדתי ילדים כמוך
שלא ידעו איפה זה בדיוק, איפה זה בדיוק.

I did some things that you have not read in books
And I even fainted in Roxanne [ it is a name of a night club]
When you were still eating from a bottle
I have painted my hair, and I have shaved, and I have pierced my ears
And I taught some kids, just like you
That didn't know where it is exactly, where it is exactly

    ואם העיר הזאת קטנה עליך
    ממני היא נופלת.
    וכבר עשיתי ת'סמים
    ות'בנים שלא כדאי.
    היא בלעה ואז זרקה אותי
    כמעט כל סוף שבוע.
    כשהתחילו להגיד "מדליק"
    אמרו את זה עלי, עלי.

so, if this city is too small for you
    This city can't hold me
And I have did some drugs
And I have been with all the boys, that I shouldn't have been with them
And than she swallow me spited me out
    Almost every weekend
And when people started to say "cool"
They have said that about me, about me

Yes, she's just great, I always listen to her songs when I get some free time, it just cheers me up every time. It's because of Sarit Hadad that I feel like learning hebrew language some day, not now because I'm hell busy to learn anything in this world but as it doesn't pass, I go on listen to some songs and traslations from here. At least we have this wonderful Rose around to help us though. I love hebrew language and it's good to see similiar people here

    Algebra
I definitely feel how you feel, you got connected to the language through Sarit Hadad

Well, I heard" Eyal Golan" before I heard her voice and his voice had a mystical quality as well. From a beautiful song of his I heard this word being said over an over" Elohai, Elohai" and then I understood this was the word used for G-d, and that sounds almost the same all over this region of the world, we all raise our head to seek help and to praise G-d, all to the same G-d and we all have almost the same word for him. It was so touching that I felt I had to learn much more about Hebrew and Hebrew songs and Hebrew lyrics, and it has been a great education all in itself. Algebra, once you start learning a language the process never stops, it might get slower or faster it might even seem that you have forgotten all the temrs for the lack of practice, but all the words are just stored and we amazingly get them back after a period of refreshing our memory with practice
Yes Rose is a sweetheart and she has helped us a lot and I am thankful to all these wonderful friends we have right here who are just here to help us enjoy the way they do listening to these beautiful songs

Of Sarit Hadad, i dedicate the song : Haiti be'gan Eden" to you my friend I guess it means I lived in the garden of Eden.

Oh thanks for the offer, it's from my favorite of her releases "Kmo cinderella" .

    Here translation:

    Veli karata perach
    Va'einayim
    Ani zocheret
    Hayiti neshamah
    Rak itcha
    me'al richafti
    Bashamayim
    Pit'om nafalti
    Levad la'adamah

    And you called me "flower"
    and "eyes"
    I remember
    I was "soul"
    Only with you
    I hovered above
    in the sky
    I suddenly fell
    alone to the ground

    Lo notar davar
    Milvad haga'agua
    Hazman over le'at le'at
    Sha'a, shavua
    Kvar shanah kim'at
    Veha'olam ragua
    Verak koli zo'ek achshav
    Tagid madua
    Hayiti began eden
    Ve'achshav halev patzua
    Vezeh sipur kol kach yashan
    Veyadua.

    Nothing remains
    except for the yearning
    time passes slowly, slowly
    an hour, a week
    almost a year already
    and the world is calm
and only my voice yells now
    tell (me) why
    I was in paradise
and now (my) heart is wounded
and this is such an old story
    and (well) known

And elinor, she was the first thing I ever had known of hebrew language and as it happened to you, the sound of the language, the melody, felt so pleasing. And the script is lovely. Hebrew language is beautiful and charming. I read some chapters of a self-learning book and it was nice that I could recognize lots of words. I even learned the alephbet. I didn't feel hebrew difficult but the challenging in it it's reading without poiting vowels. But it's rewarding to learn. It always felt a great time to study it

Hi dear Algebra Thank you so much for the words they took me all the way up to " Hashamaim".

So yours was a self-study experience as wellThat is so beautiful because it is quite self-motivated and it just works.

You know, the vowel pointings are hard to beging with, but as we get more exposed to the structure of the words, which come with three lettered roots and only 7 structures for creating verbs and nouns one gets familiar with the way the vowels come in between and gradually we learn about all of them by heart What you are doing now is exactly where we have to go: just listening and repeating to ourselves and reading the text You know this is the language learning that I enjoy with each and every enchanting word

Sarit Hadad pronouces here words with much clearness one could differenciate the words.
Oh I feel so good to know that you feel the same way about these songs
u take care algebra u are so cool
