Hi, nawali
Thanks for your efforts. In the Arabic forum I've seen that they use numbers in the transliteration.
I am not trying to Learn Arabic, but I don't really like numbering in the transliteration, and in yours I couldn't see any.
Could you please explain why ?
seLimmm
She wrote it without numbers Because he wanted the transliteration by Turkish language way(letters).
And Turks don't know the numbers of Arabic Letters..
Ex : how can you know the fark between the letter (ع) and (أ) if you wrote them in English letters only ?
ع = A
أ and would be A too, but they're different, but there's no English letter that can help you to read the letter ع in the right way, only if you use numbers
3 = ع
A = أ
Also numbers isn't important, but it lets reading easier for people who's learning arabic, of for Arab people, too
Sorry for answering instead of you Nawali, and sorry for disturbing! =)
Hey selim, nothing like that in Farsi language ? with the letters which have no place in English letters ?

@selim: lol that is a problem indeed! we Arabic translators have to write the lyrics of Arabic songs in Latin letters so people can sing along with the song and also to translate the song! now in our texting each other in Arabic using English letters, as you know there are some Arabic letters that aren't there in English letters, so we use numbers that have the same form (shape) instead for example: habibi we use 7 ! the arabic letter is like this: ح
so it would be 7abibi
it is to make learners differentiate between letters, and it is easier too! for further reading check here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arabic_Chat_Alphabet
and if you have any song in particular in Arabic you want the transliteration to it without numbers you can ask on the Arabic section and I'm sure members would be of good help

@ciyo37 Evet
@ Loolya thanks for help, in other languages numbers are used to resemble words such as 20 "best" in farsi or 30 "si" and in English its used for abbreviation like " what are you up 2? "
