하늘의 별 따기...
등잔 밑이 어둡다!
well, yes.. that what it was called before..and how we have 6 'diferent' languages
nevermind, for me it's the same, no matter some people consider that offensive..
I hope I have not offended anyone due to my ignorance. It was definitely not my intention .. I am just pleased to be able to dig a little deeper into a group of languages that I love.
Ostani do kraj,
cekaj go denot nov sto se budi,
ljubi me i znaj,
ti si se sto sakam jas.
They're the same but there are still some differences. Different words are used for some things. I've never used the word 'kruh' for 'bread' and I think this is used by Croatians. I could be mistaken...
The other difference is the pronounciation of some words: bijelo (BH), bjelo (CR) and belo (SR) ...
NPazarka : you are right! there a really small diference, but nobody from Croatia or Bosnia can't tell me that he/she doesn't understand me when I speak Serbian. I am from Bosnia, I didn't change the language I speak when I came here.
you are right about 'kruh', and there are a lot of those words, but that doesn't stop us of understanding each other
here is one link about differences between that 3 languages, so who wants to know more can check it here
nevermind, that is not the topic, I am sure that we all can help those who wants to learn our languages, no matter what language is it
Nur_Demir : no no, it has nothing to do with your post, I just said my opinion, and I don't want to offend anyone with it..the good thing is when you learn serbian/croatin/bosnian you will know also two other languages
so here i am again :]
what means:
brukam
odustajem - is that confer
bokore - is that leaf
djerdana
pocepao
tesan - is this narrow
these words are from a song I'm trying to translate :] ... so can i put here also and lines that i don't understand
Tose Proeski - The Hardest Thing --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zKRrADJ7j3E
* Agapi mou gurna pisw, Mou Leipeis... :[
Odustati - Odustajem : I'm giving up (on something) / turning my back
Djerdan - necklace - that's what I've found, I usually use 'ogrlica'.
Pocepati - pocepao(male)/ pocepala(female) : tear/rip up - I've teared up something
For the other ones maybe the sentences are needed in order to translate it right.
Tesan -> tesno - thight
Brukam -> bruka - shame/disgrace
Bokora -> bokor - cluster, stool - Found this. I've never seen/used this word
well here are the sentances i was wondering how to translate
kad sam jah'o vranca, ata
sto djerdana trg'o s vrata
pocepao jelek tesan
ludovao mahnit i besan
Kad mogu spasit što se spasit da - is that right to say when i can save what is worthing or when i am saving what i can .. maybe someting like this
Proveo sam noci ljubeci bez mere.
..............
Da mi jednoga dana stavi pod nos - that one day it will be sticked
.........
ali pustom srcu nikad dosta nije
ono bi ko nekad jos ljubavi htelo
he like before more love will want
ne mari za bore sto prekrise celo
I know in the thread was written not lyrics.. but i wanna know what these lines means ... pls

Kad mogu spasit što se spasit da - "When I can save what can be saved"
Proveo sam noci ljubeci bez mere.
I spent night kissing 'without measure' or 'without measuring it'..well, it's litteral translation..hore you get it, or someone will find some better
ali pustom srcu nikad dosta nije
but for 'empty' heart it's never enought
ono bi ko nekad jos ljubavi htelo
it would love more love like before
ne mari za bore sto prekrise celo
it doesn't care about 'wrinkles' that covered 'forehead'
and about first part..I have no idea, like vranac??

The expression is the same in English
"It's right there under my nose"
and used in the same way as in Serbian/Croatian.. "it was right there under my nose and i didn't see it. how is that possible?!"
He is saying that love will one day find it's way to show him the obvious
Ljubav ce znati
da mi jednoga dana stavi pod nos
Love will know how to
put it under my nose one day
mnogo hvala!!! to both of you. I have translated the Italian lyrics for that song .. and am getting corrections I will then post that portion in the gibonni lyrics so that the song is complete!! I could not have done it without you both!!!
