I want to know the meaning of non in SP , like in this sentence ,e.g : He is non Muslim
I would translated like this: "El no es musulmán"
"non" is a negative word; it means "no".
ok thank u very much
هل هناك أقوال أخرى ؟؟؟
¿¿Hay otro discurso ??
What's the meaning of "so" , like the one between these words :
... But now I know it , so what will we do ? .....
How can I say "so" like this one in SP ??
As Darmaris said, non is a prefix denoting negative
los no votantes (non voters) = los que no votan
los no musulmanes (non Muslim) = los que no son musulmanes
The prefix non in spanish only exist by itself in some latin expresion like
sine qua non (sin el cual, sin la cual)
and in others expresions used only in Law
I know this is a learn Spanish thread, but just want to point out just one correction. In this case you'd want to say:
I started speaking English more seriously in February.
Speaking a language is correct, Talking a language is not. I know, it can be very confusing. There is certain contexts in which you can use the two.
Thank you very much, but I wanted to say another thing, in spanish "Comencé a tomarme más seriamente inglés".
I still can't speak english, I'm really bad with pronuntiaton, I just write by now. It's a spanish phrase "tomarse en serio", and I did the mistake to translate my idea from spanish: "I started taking English more seriusly....", but I'm not sure if it's correct or not in English. Is it ?
Oh gosh, I feel like such an idiot. For some reason, I saw an l in between the a and the k for some reason, so it looked like TALKING instead of TAKING, haha. Must have been my eyes playing tricks on me. They do that sometimes.
Sorry about that! (Siento!!!)
You were correct in saying taking, absolutely.
Is there a good website to show Spanish sentence order? Most of the time, I get it, but there are some times where it's wrong, or at least, sounds wrong to me.
Would "No puedo hablar contigo" be correct?
How about these sentences:
"Anoche fue bien."
"Hoy es una dia por bailar y cantar."
"¡Si, yo hablo un poquito español!"
General stuff like that can be what confuses me. If someone could tell me if they're correct or not, and what's wrong with them if they're not correct, please.
Hi Acrylic. The sentence order in your examples is perfect. Let me help you a bit with certain words you used.
"Anoche fue bien."
Personally, I would use the verb 'estar' in this instance: "Anoche estuvo bien."
"Hoy es una dia por bailar y cantar."
The preposition here I would change to 'para': "Hoy es un día para bailar y cantar."
The rest looks perfect!
