from where is she? I mean your teacher... coz both ways are correct

but for me.. -se is more formal.... we commonly use -ra

Here in Spain both forms are used indistinctively with the same meaning

I need somebody's help! Did I translate it right?

Why some people smile in your face and behind your back behave like pigs?!

Por qué la gente sonríen en tu rostro y detrás de tu espalda se comportan como cerdos?!

or (it's another option for "detrás de tu espalda ")

Por qué la gente sonríe en tu rostro y a tus espaldas se comportan como cerdos?

You did very well, except for sonrien =D. In Spanish, the noun that are plural by definition, like: gente, familia, policía, etc, are conjugated like they were the second person singular (They are "sustantivos colectivos", and they dont' have the same way to be conjugated as the plural words)
    Example
La policiá capturó (Like "Él/Ella capturó)
La gente quiere un gobierno más equitativo (like "Él/Ella quiere...")
La familia pidió justicia (Like "Él/Ella pidió justicia)

hey darling, I think PR means Puerto Rico, so the sentence would be:

"El mundo es pequeño pero PR es demasiado peque"
The world is small but Puerto Rico is too small

    Thank you very much !!
Yes, that is what I thought it might mean, that Peque might be short for pequeño.
I have a lot of spanish speaking cousins in Fla. and Puerto Rico.
We speak to each other a lot on facebook. There are a lot of posts in spanish that I have to try to figure out.
Unfortunately I do not speak spanish but I am learning as best as I can.
People post a lot of slang and "text" language on face book so It can be very hard to translate.
Thank you very much for your help!
    Hugs Joyce
