Anomaly [work in progress, first try at writing...]

Hi!
Yes, I'm new, I've been lurking for a while though and decided I might as well post these and see what they're worth.

Yes, they are a bit... unusual, and no, I'm not going to tell you what they're about. It ruins all the fun! What do YOU interpret this as, that's what I want to know. Also, I realise some parts don't fit in with others and some of the timing might not sound right, but it all depends on the way you read it. The way I've imagined it in my head, it actually fits together quite nicely...

Other than that, constructive criticism is appreciated, and remember this is the first time I've ever attempted to write something, so just... don't kill me, okay? =P
Anyway, here goes. Not exactly sure I want to see the reactions =P :

Crawl out of our caves
Outside we float across the cityscape
Peer out towards the sun
Through our skies of yellow tainted glass
And --oh, we won't last much longer here
No worries, leave it all to us
Don't think, don't breathe, don't be
We'll figure something out

Walk into the neon glow
Spilling through stained skies above
No need to change, no need to move
It's all carefree, we're all carefree

Pluck the stars from the sky
Flashes of light suspended in the dark
I'll stand and watch them fade; histories lost
There's nothing much left now
We're losing touch; connection's down
What? When? Why? How? --can't think
I'm shattered, bleeding, falling, fading--

I reach out; light folds around me
Feel it come in streams; surge through me
I'm not really here; just watching
While it swallows me

It's ok, a little cramped in places but if you can fit the words in without stumbling then all power to you.
