*Ruza, ruzica would mean the same just ruzica is more like sweet version for rose, it may also refer to female name but I guess it doesn't in this case

Yeah, I've always been confused by the actual meaning of "Ruža Ružica", since it means both "a rose" and a Macedonian name. I've always believed that in this song she compares herself with a rose - she will wither if her beloved one does not return her love.
