What happened is that Bubug said he/she already knew the english version, but now wanted a literal translation.

I love the song Hey...heard the Spanish version quite a bit, husband is Spanish, then heard the English version. While the Spanish version is very beautiful indeed, without knowing the translation, I thought, after hearing he English version, the words meant the same, as the English version is quite beautiful, word wise. But I saw a recent YouTube of the Spanish version with the English translation and I was rather surprised, because that version, which is the one translated here, isn't as nice with the words. It's completely different in meaning from the English version of Hey....

Does anybody know why the "meanings" of the songs are so different? One is romantic, the other seems to talk about the other person in the relationship rather meanly.
