Solved: Pop Song, early 2000's

Alright folks, this is driving me INSANE.

The lyrics are something like this "remember the time I grabbed you and said it was small, but it's really not at all," and there's something about a scar in there and being embarrassed, and another something about being dragged backwards through dreams.

I can see the music video in my head but whenever the artist (a female) opens her mouth to sing, it just comes out all garbled. Anyway, if this helps: In the video the artist and the subject of her song (boyfriend, probably) are at some kind of house party and at one point she spins around and falls down. There's a scene that illustrates the "backwards through dreams" part.

I really can't remember anything else about it or the artist and no matter how much I google it, or any variation of it, I get nothing.

Please, please, pleassssse help me. I'd be much obliged.
