Default Solved: A song I've been looking for for three years, has piano and a womans voice

    Hello.
I heard this song back in high school.

First off, it'r more on the recent side. I am almost postive that it was made after the year 2000. It is mainly piano based, and there is one vocalist, a woman. Mainly high notes are played on the piano, and the woman's voice is a little lower than the notes played. It starts off with individual piano notes and her voice, then acends to piano chords and notes with her voice. After that, it intensifies a bit and something that sounds like synth is added to the mix.
I have no idea of the singer, song title, or any lyrics in the song.

I do not have a microphone on my computer, but I do have this recording of it, though its only in one note.

I think that is the melody of either the chorus or the intro, but I know that it repeats at least twice during the song.
The piano playing is a bit higher than the note used for the songtapper thing.
    Thanks for the help, hopefully.

Tori Amos may be the artist using the time fame and piano as qualifiers.

    Try this sample:

The woman in the song I'm talking about has a bit of a softer voice than Tori Amos.
    Thanks though.

The more I think about it, the more I say the lyrics "for a moment". I might just be making that up because it fits with the beat, but I don't know.

This may be close to the time Frame and has "for a moment" lyric phrase.

    No no no no no.
Nothing like that song. No guitar, no horrible voice, none of that.
The entire song is made up by a piano and the womans voice, and at the end, a bit of synth.
Also, that song is too recent. I know I heard the song I'm talking about around 2003.

Try "Shiver" by Norah Jones (its a cover of Coldplay song from 2000)

    from the moment I wake
    to the moment I sleep
I'll be there by your side

The attached link is a 30-second sample of the Coldplay version

Sorry, I'm positive it wasn't Alicia Keys, and I can't find the covered version of Shiver, but it sounds a bit fast paced for this song.
I really don'tknow how else to describe it.
The part that keeps replaying in my mind goes like this:

*note* then a two beat pause, then what I remember as being "for a moh-oh-ment" then a one beat pause, then what I remember as " I run" followed by a three beat pause, then two notes played on the piano, each repetited twice.

Yeah, I know it makes no sense, but its all I can do until I obtain a mic.

Next wild guess is "Seconds Away" by Amy Studt

I'm melting like liquid, I run.
    Lovers all
    And lovers none
    But it changes everyone.
For a moment, then it's gone, it's fragile, precious.

Have you a mobile phone? Can you record with it.

Anneke's voice (The Gathering), rings any bells?

Here is a random song to listen her voice if you don't know her.
