my bad??

was it so wrong to post a topic in the general section AND in the one for songs heard in stores? i'm just trying to find out the name/group of a song i like and i figured it would give me more of a chance, if any at all, for someone who knows the song to happen to read my post...

That's why different sections are created in Forums: with posting in correct section, your chances are maximized...
And if you wish, you can bump your thread from time to time, to refresh it for new viewers. ((bumping is allowed, as long as you don't "overbump" to annoying level )
