Help with song and artist

Been trying for years. Some people remember this song from the 60s, but no one remembers the artist. I can only remember one verse:

There's no return and no deposit
No strings upon this silver locket
That I place around your neck to show my love
There's no obligation on your part
And there's no obligation on your heart

There's a 1964 movie called "No Deposit, No Return" (remakes in 1976 and 1981) and Tuli Kupferberg sings the title song on the soundtrack. However, I cannot find lyrics or a sample.

Yes, that No Deposit, No Return shows up quite a bit on a Google search. Not the song I am looking for. I am not sure of the title, but the first verse is as I gave above. I had the 45; and it might have been the B side, but I don't think so. Simple melody, male vocal.

Sort of like a song Tommy Roe (Sweet Pea) might have done.
