Weekend

I am trying to find who sang the song "Weekend" from the late 70's or early 80's...It was a song that was played alot by radio stations on Friday's evenings @ quitting time...No it is not "Working for the Weekend" by Loverboy...It started out "Friday evening what a feeling....".....and the Chorus was something like..."Weekend...do what you want to do Weekend..when those working days are through..Weekend..Weekend...Weekend...Can someone please help???...I have looked everywhere trying to locate the song to download and search engines to find it..Thanks
