I heve tried to enter "she moved through the fair " in youtube, and there comes a whole lot, Sinnead o Connor, Mike Oldfield and many more I don´t know. Maybe you can try it too.

I only new the Loreena Mc Kennit Version as I have seen this Live concert on TV several times.

hey guys stumbled across this post randomly and thought i would shed some light here. im afraid its not anything. there is no translation for the chanting in the background and is not listed in the lyrics ANYWHERE because they arnt actually even words.

typical of traditional celtic music is a style of vocalization known as "mouth music" its paramount to todays rappers "beatboxing". as women would work together they often sang. several women would often sing a common irish song as others formed a beat of gaeilge syllables.

the chanting you hear in the background or often times as the chorus itself of a traditional irish song is nothing more then a new way of bringing this form of traditional ancient "beatboxing" back to life. (check out "theme from harry's game" where the chorus is "Fol lol the doh fol the day, fol the doh fol the day" which means absolutly nothing. where the rest of the song is easily translated)

if your still curious the chanting is:

Si sana mo si ghianadh da ghan da siha sina sina ghianadh da si sana mo si sana mo si ghianadh da siha sana sana ghianadh da si sana

    hope this helps
