Okay, i need help

My friends and teachers say that i need to take my lyris and get them out to the world. They say that i can make it big time with my talent, but i dont knw where to go. Ive tried looking online for a place to get ublished but i just cant seem to find anything. Does anyone know anywhere i can go to get my lyrics noticed by companies/singers/ect?
