The Question

The question is not
Where will you be in ten years
But what about tomorrow
Will you be full of regret and sorrow

The question is not
Can we change the past
Cause the past is long gone
And I feel we have withdrawn
From a challenge that we didn’t see
Please just believe in me

The only answer I need to know
Is how would you feel now

If I told you I cared
That I will be there
No matter what I’ve done or said
All those moments are dead
Erased form our minds
All we have are these new times
That I already need to make up for

The question is not
Will luck be on our side
Cause we will still need the drive
To want to make it to the end

The question is not
Will it be too heavy a burden
You’re not alone
I’m walking with you
I’m helping you home
I hope I can do that, over and over

The only answer I need to know
Is how would you feel now

That our time has come

It's amazing and I enjoyed reading it. I hope you keep posting because I would like to read some more of your poetry. I write some as well but I must say yours in wonderful.

Nah, I'm not going to be conceited and praise myself, it's not my style. Writing lyrics is just the only way I've been able to efficiently express myself.
