Song with California in chorus

I heard a song on the radio the other night and really liked it but can't find it. All I remember is that the word California appears in the chorus. I think it comes after another word so its like "something california". I cant remember if it is repeated or not. Its sung by a woman and I think its chill out music, it could be a black woman artist. I have heard it before as background music on a tv show or film.

It sounded like it could be a recent release though. When I heard it I tried to remember some of the lyrics so I could get it later but the only word I was able to catch was California in the chorus. It didnt feature that prominently so it probably wasnt the title of the song. Still racking my brains to get a better idea of what it was like but no luck so far.

It wouldn't happen to be a remake of "Hotel California" would it?

I think it is Dani California by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. I was just looking for it, too and found it on iTunes.
