my mom is from Culiacan, Sinaloa... so I have a bunch of relatives in Culiacan and Mazatlan... so, I was kindof raised in Sinaloa, coz we spend our holidays there...

Cruz Lizarraga (the founder of the band) he once sang to my grandmother (many many years ago)

That is so neat about your grandma! I just read Banda El Recodo's bio the other day and learned about Cruz Lizarraga. I have a friend from Mocorito (2 hours north of Culiacan, I think). He suggested I visit Mazatlán which I did in April and fell in love with it. I want to go back so bad. If I want to go to Mocorito some day...... how do I get there? Can I fly directly into Mocorito?

yeah.. Mazatlan is so beautiful... the pier, the ocean, the lighthouse island.. well everything.....

to Mocorito... no, I dont think so.... is a small town.. so maybe you have to travel by bus or car...

Is it better to fly into Culiacan and drive to Mocorito or just drive from the US to Mocorito? I know Culiacan is dangerous.....

I think is better to fly into Culiacan and then drive to Mocorito.... indeed Culiacan is dangerous, but bad things can happen in every where.. you only need to take some precautions

When you think travel to Culiacan, call me... maybe we can meet in Mazatlan!!! hahaha
