Your comment is nonsense. Song lyrics cannot be patented. And nobody goes to jail for breaking copyright rules; but yes, you own the copyright of your text - and you have even proved it by publishing the text rigtht here so it has got a foreign time stamp which you cannot manipulate yourself. I believe that promoting your lyrics and allowing others to use them makes more sense - that's what ASCAP and similar organizations are about. Ever heard of the creative commons license? To me it makes much more sense then nonsense threats.
