I first heard this song in 2007 on a supermarket PA system.

It's pop, melodic, the background track is done with synthesizers and has a part that sounds like a harp. The young woman singing it is probably American, maybe European. Mid tempo.

It was released in the late 90's or early 00's

But I still can't find who sings it

it's called Girl Next Door, by Merril Bainbridge, in 2003.

it was never released on an album and is impossible to find. let me know if you need help tracking it down
