Default Nizar Qabbani - Al Quds

Hopefully somebody can help me with the translation of this poem by Nizar Qabbani

    Here you go ...

    Jerusalem

i cry until the tears get dry

i pray until the candles melted

i kneel down ..until the blowing down bored me

i ask about Muhammad and Jesus

Jerusalem the city that spreaded with messengers

a place which is a shorter distance between earth and sky

Jerusalem .. you are the minaret of religions

you are the pretty baby girl that has burned fingers

sad is your eyes, hey the city of maiden

you are the shady oasis where the messenger passed by

sad is the stones of the streets

sad is the minaret of mosques

hey Jerusalem, you are the beauty that covered with black

who will rang the bells of judgment churches

    Sunday mornings

who will carry the toys for children

    in Xmas night

    Jerusalem , the sadness city

the huge tear that blows in eyes

    who will stop the aggression

towards u the pearl of religious laws

who will wash the blood from the wall stones

    who will help the bible?

who will help the holy Quraan ?

who will help Jesus from those whom killed him ?

    who will help the human?

    Jerusalem .. my city

    Jerusalem ... my sweet heart

tomorrow ..tomorrow .. the lemon will bloom

and the green spikes and olives will be happy

    and the eyes will lough

and the emigrant doves will back

    to the pure tiles

and the children will back to play

and the parents and their children`s will get together

    on the confusions bloom

    my country

the country of peace and olives

    i do my best ...
