Default Solved: Another 70's Song - Talking Guitar

All I can remember is the sound of a talking guitar or a lot of Wha Wha
and someone who sounded like Eric Clapton. But I've searched all the Clapton works so it must be someone else. I know it was popular because I heard it alot. Also it was like a slow romantic song.
    (I Think).

The two 1970's artists I can remember that used the "talk-box" with their guitar are Peter Frampton and Joe Walsh (of The James Gang).

On Frampton's 1976 album, "Frampton Comes Alive!", the songs "Show Me the Way" and "Do You Feel Like We Do", featured the talk box guitar effect.

Joe Walsh also used the talk box on the James Gang song, "Rocky Mountain Way".

Of the above mentioned songs, "Show Me the Way" fits the "slow romantic song" mode.

I know you said you checked all the Clapton, but here's one that has some great guitar work, fits your description, and could easily get overlooked.

    Next wild guesses are:

    "Those Shoes" by The Eagles
"Sweet Emotion" (just the intro) by Aerosmith
"Living on a Prayer" by Jon Bon Jovi

Does the guitar actually say understandable words or is it more like Wah Wah words which sound like nothing but cool guitar.

I feel like i'm in 2nd grade asking that question...LOL.

Well if we are gonner eliminate the talk box and focus on just "wah wah" pedal songs, the possibilities just increased ten-fold.

I don't remember the following song using the wah wah effect but it does have Eric Clapton on lead guitar, it is a slow, romantic song and it has the word "guitar" in it. Try "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" by the Beatles (1968).

A better guess may be "The Guitar Man" by Bread (1972).
It is also a slow, romantic song and has some "near" wah wah effect sounds.

I'm betting on that one too atmaster....In fact, I thought of it last night after my other post, but I had already shut down my computer. You beat me again,
but I certainly hope it's the right one.

I can't resist... Clapton, extreme Wah-Wah and an unconventional rock song...

Cream - White Room (older versions, the later ones go easier on the pedal...)

    Default Maybe?

Are you positive it's from the 70s?

Not sure if this song really fits your description, but it's worth a shot...
