Grossstadtgeflüster - Ich Muss Garnix

This song was both difficult and simple. The repetitive structure certainly helped but a lot of these lines were very difficult to make sense of. Also, it was pretty hard to get a hold of the German lyrics so I had little to compare them to, and thus there may be inaccuracies in the original German.

Suggestions and corrections are greatly appreciated. Thanks

(P.S.- I'm not completely familiar with what sort of things are considered acceptable in this forum, so I'm wondering what I should do in the case of translating a word such as ficken? should I just translate it directly? translate it directly but censor it(as I did here)? or translate it to a similar but less 'vulgar' word?)

I believe vulgar words are automatically censored out here.

A couple of things:

reingehen = going in
einsehen = see/accept, (what you've written is also right though)
'Ich muss' can also be written as 'I have to'
'Ich muss gar nix/nichts' I don't have to do do anything
dich ablenken = to take your mind off things
hinkriegen - I use this word normally to mean fix/sort out/manage etc but I'm not sure here as the next line isn't clear to me.

At first I figured "I must do nothing" and "I don't have to do anything" to mean the same thing, but after thinking about it, there is a difference. I spend so much time with German and then I forget what makes sense in my own language, haha.

'grade biegen' might be gerade biegen/straighten out (steeeeeeena?)

I'm not Steena but it's used as 'straighten out'. You're right!

And gerade/grade are the same words if you wondered

Just for your information, however, grade is the colloquial spelling whereas gerade is the normal spelling you'd use in exams and such.
