2 songs to identify!!

hey guys i've got 2 songs to identify, but i can only briefly remember the lyrics i have no idea who sang them nor if the lyrics i remembered are right. hope someone still recognizes them! well then, here goes nothing!

the first song has something about "the world can go/goes on without you" and about the singer not being sure if she can. i think it's a song about losing someone we love.

the second song has the lyrics "like the fly" and is sang by a female. it's not by u2 nor any of the bands i checked on google so it's kinda tough to find out
