Hey, I wrote this one a few days ago. Thought I would post it up to see what you fine folk think of it. The song is sort of a short one so the lyrics are quite short too (my powerful logic at work haha). Please let me know what you think! Thanks =D
We’ll pretend there’s nothing wrong,
But inside we know we’re coming undone.
Don’t say another word now,
Because words don’t mean a thing now.
I’ve made my way,
Into your mind,
And I’m not leaving yet,
But when I do,
I’ll leave memories behind,
And it will never be the same.
We’ve had regrets.
We’ve made mistakes,
But we have time,
To fix it all,
And if all else fails,
We can cover all the trails,
We made for nothing.
Let’s forget these moments happened,
Because I wish they never happened.
When this ends,
There’ll be no more pretending.
We’ve had regrets.
We’ve made mistakes,
But we have time,
To fix it all,
And if all else fails,
We can cover all the trails,
We made for nothing.
Hi AloneAndTired. I think this makes for a cool lyric. I think we may have something in common. I don't give a crap about song writing rules. As a matter of fact I find myself purposely breaking at least one song writing rule in each song.
I have never has the average listener say "Hey your breaking the rules". They only know if they like the song or not.
Yeah, I completely agree with you. I dont think a creative thing such as lyrics should have rules anyway. It's as if people are telling you to have expression in a certain manner. Having said that, I can appreciate that people may want to stick to the rules, but people need to appreciate when people don't care for the rules very much haha
And thank you very much for the kind comment
Hey, nice song, and yeah i never follow any of the rules. Rules feel like they limit my potential, and I'm a really wacky metaphorical writer and I just can't have that .
