i learned it with a german-arabic book...it is soooooooooooooooooooo amazing...i learned every day 2-3 hours because it was so much fun...and like that i learned a lot about grammatik and without the arabic script, just with the latin letters,so it was very easy...but i think it's just available in german .... look here

Arabicpod.org seems like a good site for beginners. The teachers explain things very well and the lessons are very interesting and informative. Last time I checked they had 66 podcasts for beginners. They only have 6 for advanced students, but they told me that they're adding more. I'm sure that Arabic learners of any level can get something out of their podcasts.

Also on my blog I have some Arabic Simpsons episodes and I've taken key phrases that they say and written them out in Arabic and translated them. I really wish there would have been something like that when I was starting out.
