I have a Rap tape I made from the radio station KTSU in Houston back in the late 80's. I've managed to ID all the songs but one. It's a track from the group Geto Boys, which may have been spelled Ghetto Boys back then. The chorus is sung over a sample of War's "Slippin' Into Darkness". The chorus is "You got to be down, you got to be down." Part of the story line is about robbing a store named Pops and getting caught. Preforming on the track I believe are Prince Johnny C and Grand Wizard. I would appreicate all help IDing this track.

I narrowed down the possibilities to the following choices (which I cannot find good lyrics for or able to listen to):

    The Problem
    I Run This
    You Ain't Nothin'
    Seek & Destroy
    No Sellout
It is not good for all our wishes to be filled; thru sickness we recognize the value of health; thru evil, the value of good; thru hunger, the value of food; thru exertion, the value of rest.
