The chimera waits beneath the sea,
Peering up at brides to be,
Passing over all the charming waves,
Decant themselves to tranquility,
Falling from the muddy watered leaves.

Attrition always seemed so bare,
But now it seems we must be fair,
All walking does is stop yourself from falling.
And as we wait atop the hill,
We gaze down on shallow waters still.

So violently they throw about,
Unbeknownst to those up and down,
Wonder why they’re dying on the surface,
If they die they’re meant to stay,
Wash they’re pain and selves away.

Asleep I fell upon a beach,
The water was pure and air was clean,
The girls all wore seashells in their hair,
This vision I have tried to reach,
But I cannot for it is not to be.

Some day I’ll like to swim away,
And go where all the nothings play,
Then board a ship and sail into the sun,
If the Earth should end and I should fall,
I’ll thank you that you made my error ways.

And if one day the waves reproach,
When smiles are loaned and air is poached.
The monster still awaits beneath the sea.
He’ll look up and I’ll look down,
A knowing smile, a friendly frown.
