the first love is gone ... am waiting for the last one!!
that makes 3 of us =D although I like bossa nova better I think
Me pega, me amassa, depois dá uma pisadinha
quer fugir do calor, me tira da geladeira
Me passa no corpo, depois joga na lixeira
Assim eu sou...
Asi soy yo
Uma latinha de cerveja
Una latita de cerveza
Me usa, me abusa
Ella me usa, me abusa
Me beija na boca pra depois me amassar
Assim eu sou...
Así soy yo
Da sua coleção
En tu coleccíon
Mas no seu coração essa menina danada
Pero al su corazón esa nina traviesa
Não me deixa entrar
no me deja entrar

A vida da atriz
The actress's life

E se os pagantes exigirem bis
And if the audience asks for a b.i.s
E se um arcanjo passar o chapéu
And if an archangel passes its hat (v)
what if I could enter into her life?
"Será" here has the same meaning as "Quizas" in Spanish, for me is just an interjection to mean "I wonder if" see: "Será que ela é moça=I wonder if she is a virgin=I was thinking about she is a virgin or not.... "
"Ser moça" in portuguese can mean for a girl "to be virgin", but this is quite old-fashioned.
(i) Here, the singer may mean two things: or that the girl is egoist or that she is fragile because she only can think/have interest about herself/her life in both cases.
(iii) She propositally suits "Divina comedia", well-known in Literature, but not specifical meaning you can think about it
(iv) here we can see it by two focuses: or the singer wants to say that the girl can really fall down from the skycraper - I don't believe it much - or that she is arrogant and some day she can pass by for a embarassing situation because of her arrogance. Note that she also says "pagante" and means that the audience is billing for the show. I left this adjective(=paying) out, for simple elegance.
(v) There's a forum discussing the meaning of this phrase in the song. Well I agree with the following idea:
'To pass the hat'(free translation) is what happens when an artist finish its performance, so he can pass its hat, pot, etc ( or someone can so it for him ) in order to collect coins and money for the show. So here is the archangel who does so.
Here the topic (in Spanish):

Quando você se aproximou e me parou na rua,
When you came up to me and approached me in the street
Meu coração quase deu piripaque.
My heart almost had an attack
I became dizzy, I got stuck on you
Quando me disse, sou sua metade.
When you told me that I was the half part of you
Was it for sure or just a joke?
Lenha na fogueira pra me incendiar,
Like firewood on bonfire just to burn me up
Will this fling come out well? Was it just a joke?
To nem aí já to na chuva quero me molhar...
I don't care either, I'm already in the rain, let the rain make my body wet
Ah, ah, ah, imaginando o teu corpo, colado no meu...
Ah, ah, ah (I stay) imagining your body tight sticked next to mine
Ah, ah, ah vivo perdida no mundo da lua...
I'm living completely lost, with my head in the clouds
How can I control myself, if this love, that remains inside me...
has dashed out yet, at 100 mph, I'm dying for
Acelerou, acelerou, acelerou, acelerou meu coração!
My heart acelerated
Não da pra segurar!
I can't take it anymore
Acelerou, acelerou, acelerou, acelerou meu coração!
My heart acelerated
Quero te amar (2x)
I want to love you
Você é tatuagem, marcou pra vida inteira,
You are like a tatoo, you left your traces for life
I have fallen in your cobweb, it's impossible to scape
Você é tatuagem, marcou pra vida inteira,
You are like a tatoo, you left your traces for life
Bateu pegou na veia, to louca pra Te amar!
You came right through my vein, I'm crazy to love you

Ah this is a bit difficult.... not joke...lots of slangs... but I like when it's difficult. (and this is not the hardest from Calypso)

Quando ela chega agita a multidão,
When she arrives, she stires up the crowd
Toda a galera se reúne no salão,
All the people meet in the dance floor
Admirando o seu jeito de dançar,
They keep admiring her style of dancing (=the way she dances)
Dançando solta rebolando sem parar.
when she is dancing so loose, swinging her hips incessantly
2(x)
E eu de longe olhando o jeito dela,
And I'm standing at distance seeing the way she is
Do I have a chance to dance with her?
A minha timidez não deixa eu encostar.
My shyness doesn't permit me to get closer to her
Será meu Deus quem vai chamar a patricinha pra dançar?
Oh my God, who's gonna invite the patricinha to dance
Chama a patricinha pra dançar (patricinha)
Invite the patricinha to dance!
Junto com o forró saborear (patricinha)
With Forró Saborear's band
Não deixe a galera perceber (patricinha)
Don't let the people note/discover
Se ela der um fora em você.
Whether she gets rid of you
----------------------------------
God, mama has this Cd, and you don't know how this song almost annoyed me, it was a complete BOOM, everybody was singing, many singers re-recorded... This is the original. It's an easy text with some didatic features:
galera means group of friends or people or crowd in spanish is pandilla
jeito is the way a person is/behaves, in spanish is manera de ser
rebolar is to dance/walk in general(=for the girls) walking sensually swinging the hips, but can mean to dance too
encostar is very colloquial for approaching, and with this sense is used for vehicles encontar o carro
patricinha becomes from patricios(yes, ancient greece history) and means an usually middle-class/elite/rich girl, that doesn't care of showing her personal objects(cellphobe, clothes, car, glasses, bags,...) which are very expensive and of famous design/tradmarks (Versace, Rolex, Gabana,...), and her personality is somewhat awful, void and arrogant. Now you understand why the lad is affraid to invite her to dance, because forro is not usually for the elite. The male form is mauricinho
Well but any girl can pretend to be a patricinha, even being poor, and in these cases they are called patricinha too. Well if someone knows to say it in Enslish or Spanish, I would apreciate.
dar um fora is to refuse a love proposal/courtship or simply an invitation
Now, call your partner and dance

To fazendo muita falta pra você
You are missing me so much

It's madness not to hear your heart
Desse jeito a gente pede pra sofrer
In this manner, we are asking for suffering
Eu não quero te ver na solidão
I don't want to see you lonely/in loneliness
Tô fazendo muita falta pra voce
You are missing me so much
Tô fazendo falta
Tô fazendo falta
Tô fazendo falta
Falta pra você
------------
(i) she's saying that even they have broken up, he doesn't seem to be any moved about.
demais is an adverb, but it can be an interjection to mean it's nice/amazing
Sei lá works as an interjection to mean "I don't know" when someone is not sure of something.
fazer de conta = to pretend. Do not confuse it with 'faz-de-conta', this last means a dissimulated story/situation
estar nem aí= no to care about sth/sb
estar afim = to be interested in/to want to do something
estar na cara means currently to be clear/evident
fazer falta a alguem in spanish is very similar 'hacer falta a alguien''
jeito here means form. manner

Sertão=It's a savianic/desertic portion of land in Northeastern region, life there is somewhat difficult for the lack of water and weak economical development.
caboclo= a man that posses both half of white and native indians/aborigine races. But in colloquial language can mean simply man, independently of the race roots of him and this is the sense in this song.
éfe, jota, ele, éme, éne, érre, ésse are onomathopeas for F, J, L, M, N, R, S, that is, the written real sound of these letters in alphabet and these are their official names, not "fê, ji, mê,...", they'are talking of a specific region of Brazil.
I found it funny when I heard the Polish alphabet some weeks ago and I cound't miss to post this song
By the way Luiz Gonzaga is recognized as a master, because he was one of the early brazilian artists to difuse the music and culture of Northeastern region of Brazil to rest of the country

Yo no conocia esa musica.
