Thank you very much, but I don't trust the translation in that page.
That's why I posted the lyrics for someone to explain the meaning of some expressions I didn't know:
vai a correr
bem-mandado
saltadinho
vai de roda
dar ao pé
estar de maré
ciranda cirandeira
vai de volta

'vai a correr' meaning 'goes to dance'.
'bem-mandado' could be 'well commanded' or 'obedient'.
'saltadinho' means the dance is danced with small jumps.
'vai de roda, minha gente' means 'let's dance in a circle' (people give hands to make a big circle).
'vamos todos dar ao pé' means 'let's all dance'.
'ciranda' is another dance in which people give hands making a circle. And 'cirandeira' is an adjective related to ciranda.
'vai de volta' I suppose - but I really don't know - that means 'once more' (inviting to sing or dance once more). But it could also mean 'turn around'.
'estamos de maré' I'm not sure, but I agree with 'we are in the mood' or 'behaving like the tide (its moviments)'.

Thanks ISF2009 and Daniel Badaro for the assistance, I believe cms deserves a better translation than that found in the link and he/she will get better seeing those words fitting into the music context

marrabenta = dance of mozambique
morna = dance of Cabo verde
baiao = brazilian dance/genre. I don't know if baiao is also an instrument for what she sings (=cordas)
cavaquinho = music instrument
saltadinho. Here she means that the dance has such steps with small jumps, that is, the dancers are often jumping smothly as they dance
let's show our feet
descompasso is the grammaticaly-constructed oposite form for compasso=beat (in music teory), but there's no such term in music teory
de volta = turn back, because they are dancing toghether, so they get closer and push away as the steps of the dance requires.
bailinho is diminutive form for "baile" and here is used with a tender sense of pleasure and passion. Portuguese is a highly emotive language
dar ao pé I believe she asking to perform a dance step, showing the feet, swinging them

I guess that the continents she's singing are probrably Africa, Europe, and South America, for the rythms that she remarks through the song :-))

I agree with you, that translation doesn't fit in english and has lots of losses from portuguese to English

There is a Baião music/dance in Portugal too.
