Here I go on my 2nd request to identify artist and song - you did so well with my first request. I think this one will be easier.

It was a song played in the discos in the 70s and 80s. Pretty popular. I'm thinking it could be considered dance/pop too.

    Female artist
    Pretty sure she was black
First artist I think of is Donna Summers, but checking iTunes none of her songs sound like what I'm looking for ... would help if I heard the beginning of the her songs on iTunes.

It starts out with the artist going/saying something like ooooouuuuuuuuu for an extended time peroid, like you without the y and it's kind of erie/haunting. Then it turns into quite a fast pace beat song.

Sorry, this is all I can give you. TIA - Jim

My wild guess is "I Feel Love" by Donna Summer
It has an "Ohh" lyric which she draws out in the song.

DJ Maxx, what I did was go to iTunes and listen to her most popular 12 songs ... well guess what ... if I would have listen to just one more of her songs I wouldn't have needed to post at all :-)

I should have said in my original post that I hadn't eliminated Donna Summer as a possible artist.

Kind of Techno Pop. Thanks all!
