Κάποιοι φίλοι μας τις νύχτες που τους λεν αλήτες
και μας βλέπουν και μας γνέφουν απ' τους ουρανούς
έρχονται μες στα σκοτάδια σαν τους λωποδύτες
παίζουν και πονούν και μας τραγουδούν
τα κιτάπια τους που δεν τα πιάνει ο νους

Στων αγγέλων πάμε πάμε τα μπουζούκια
που είναι σαν τις μέρες τις βυζαντινές
πέταξε τα μαύρα τα γνωστά σου λούσα
και βάλε στην ψυχή σου ανθρώπινες φωνές

Κάποιοι άγνωστοι τις νύχτες χρόνια ισοβίτες
ψέλνουνε κάτι τραγούδια αγιασμένα πια
στου παράδεισου την πύλη σαν τους αλφαμίτες
τα τραγούδια τους και το χάδι τους
τα τραγούδια τους μας λεν και κλαιν σιγά

Στων αγγέλων πάμε πάμε τα μπουζούκια
που είναι σαν τις μέρες τις βυζαντινές
πέταξε τα μαύρα τα γνωστά σου λούσα

Well these lyrics were written by Mano Eleftheriou.
So it's pretty difficult to translate them but I'll give it a try.

Yes it's true. But the effect gets a x2 magnification when it comes to poets like Eleftheriou who likes to write using puzzles.
