    Default "Al Di La" by Emilio Pericolli

    Hi,

    I just signed up. I did not know where to post this but thought it would be most likely belonging here. I just joined because I was looking up lyrics for this song and although I found them I see that they are not complete.

    I have taken the time to go through and make a full copy of the lyrics and was wondering how to go about updating the lyrics or posting the complete lyrics for it?

    Thank you very much in advance.

    Al di là

    Non credevo possibile,
    Si potessero dire queste parole:

    Al di la;
    Del bene piu prezioso,
    Ci sei tu

    Al di la;
    Del sogno piu ambizoso,
    Ci sei tu

    Al di là delle cose più belle.
    Al di là delle stelle, ci sei tu.
    Al di là, ci sei tu per me, per me, soltanto per me

    Al di la;
    Del mare piu profondo,
    Ci sei tu

    Al di la;
    Del limiti del mondo,
    Ci sei tu.

    Al di la;
    Della volta infinita,
    Al di la della vita.

    Ci sei tu,
    Al di la,
    Ci sei tu per me.

    lá lá lá lá

    Al di lá

    La la la la la ...
    La la la ...
    O coração da gente chega lateja
    A gente só deseja passar bem
    Com você meu bem
    No xenhenhém
    No xenhenhém
    No xenhenhém

    Hi algebra,

    Thank you for your response. Yes it is ... or as the Italians say "La fina del mondo". Hmm ... your grandfather had this on an LP eh? Are you from Italian heritage if you don't mind me asking? There are some great old songs that just give me goose bumps when I hear them and this is one of them.

    My wife saw the movie "Roman Adventure" and this song has stuck in her mind ever since she heard it.

    Thank you for the link and the lyrics.

    Ciao

    Hi, mpp, you are welcome, it's always a pleasure to help people. My heritage is not italian, but I tell you that Brazil is the most "italianized" country in this world in particular to Districts in Southern Brazil where there are lots of immigrant families and also brazilian portuguese has borrowed much of italian language, it's incredible to see and compare. I love oldies in many languages, french, italian, spanish and I would spend hours listing all the songs I know and love these days I am getting to know oldies in Slavic Languages. Look at these post that I have request translations for some songs. I know you will enjoy lyrics and translations:

    Hey algebra,

    Wow ... that is amazing. Those Italians sure do get around. That is an impressive number of threads for songs in different languages that you've started there. It is impressive ... your first language may be Portuguese but you're love of good music has transcended you to an international fan.

    Thumbs up Al di la

    I am 64 and saw the movie Rome Adventure as a senior in high school '63-'64. Al Di La is as haunting to me now as it was then. It is a song that is ageless, profound, and soul gripping. I stop everytime I hear it. As the other post, I have the LP by Emilio Pericoli and this piece is a standout on a record that moves you with every song on it.

    I am glad that others appreciate the deep sincerity with which it is sung.
