Instead of ponte, could it be puta (means *****/*****) - then "tu tiene la boca grande dale (puta) a jugar" would translate as "you have a big mouth, come on ***** let's play"
oops, guess I got bleeped, puta means "prostitute or female dog"
CAn u guys translate mines plz http://www.allthelyrics.com/forum/sp...slate-plz.html
Okay everyone. From your local university Spanish teacher (that would be me)
"Pon" is the informal affirmative command form of the verb poner. It is an irregular. "Te" is the object pronoun for the informal you. (Tu) When you tell someone to do something (so the affirmative command) you attach the prounoun to the end of the command, so....ponte. If it doesn't appear in your online translator, it is because it is not one word, it is TWO put together.
Zahra and BAgurl have it right. I give you both A's. Kirby, think you're gonna be repeating this class...
lol lol ... thanxs for the support Corinna ... why people doesnt trust in native speakers??
the first love is gone ... am waiting for the last one!!
Ponte is the word and it is a phrase used a lot amoungst cubans I have noticed.
"ponerse a + verb" is another way of saying to start to do something.
so here, he says ponte a jugar. meaning: start to play!
Ponte is used in all american countries ... Is a right word.. And what dufaigh says is correct.
Also, Just thought I'd point out to you that he's not saying "qué ola"".
Pitbull is Cuban/American. (like me)
Cubans say "¿Qué Bolá?= What's up?
often said ¿Qué bolá, asere? o ¿Asere, qué bola? = what's up man?
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=que+bola
here's a song about it.

and for the non believer that he says Dale! the one who wrote this "i also don't think its dale. Dale means you give him"
Yes, it's Dale. he says Dale in every song. and Cuban's say Dale a lot. all the time .
And it has many meanings.
we use it a lot to just be like dale dale dale ok ok ok (like if you are on the phone with someone or something)
pitbull uses it to say "do it or hit it"
often when reading Spanish on facebook , people will write "dale like" meaning hit the like button
