I need help identifying a track I used to hear my parents listen to from 60s/70s

It contained Female vocals, which could very well be diana ross

Chorus vocals are along the lines of:

"loving you so bad is all that i do"... it actually was a few lines longer

perhaps

"hurting and loving you so bad is all that i can do"

Sang at a mild/midtemp pace, Hugely popular track
