    Post Volkan Konak "yarim yarim"

Hello, I would appreciate translation to English, thank you.

    Sevdan ile düştüm yaban ellere
    Dalıp çıktım ateşlere küllere
Giyin demir çarık gel ardın sıra
    Dağlara yollara çöllere

    Diyardan diyara bir yol
    Sor beni yarim yarim
    Bul beni yarim yarim
    Gör beni yarim yarim
    Ah beni beni
Sen kalem ol ben de kağıt
    Yaz beni yarim yarim
    Çiz beni yarim yarim
    Çöz beni yarim yarim
    Ah beni beni

    Kurban olam mızrap tutan ellere
    Yanık yanık türkü diyen dillere
    Dertli dertli name çalan tellere
    Dağlara yollara çöllere

    Diyardan diyara bir yol
    Sor beni yarim yarim
    Bul beni yarim yarim
    Gör beni yarim yarim
    Ah beni beni
Sen kalem ol ben de kağıt
    Yaz beni yarim yarim
    Çiz beni yarim yarim
    Çöz beni yarim yarim
    Ah beni beni

Hi there, im new here, and i love this song and im turkish.

I will do my best to figure out the best way to translate this one, because i really think its worth translating and understanding. Beautiful song.

Sevdan ile düştüm yaban ellere - With your love I've fallen into savage hands
Dalıp çıktım ateşlere küllere - I've dived and went through fire and ashes
Giyin demir çarık gel ardın sıra - ***No idea what that means***
Dağlara yollara çöllere - To the mountains, to the roads, to the deserts

Diyardan diyara bir yol - From land to land a road
Sor beni yarim yarim - Ask for me, my love my love
Bul beni yarim yarim - Find me, my love my love
Gör beni yarim yarim - See me, my love my love
Ah beni beni - Ah me, me
Sen kalem ol ben de kağıt - You be the pen and me the paper
Yaz beni yarim yarim - Write me, my love my love
Çiz beni yarim yarim - Draw me, my love my love
Çöz beni yarim yarim - Resolve me, my love my love
Ah beni beni - Ah me, me

Kurban olam mızrap tutan ellere - Let me suffer for the plectrum holding hands
Yanık yanık türkü diyen dillere - The toungs that sing firely firely türkü
Dertli dertli name çalan tellere - The wires that play tearfully tearfully *name*

I did my best, al though you really have to understand turkish to understand most of the expressions. There were some places like, *name* i couldnt translate, first because i dont know myself what it means, second I couldnt find it anywere really :P

Some of the lines might not make sence, but I couldn't do it better sorry.

I hope you understand the lyrics, because they are meaningful, although again, the translation kinda kills it.

    Enjoy!

    Selam BilalKinali,

It was a hard one to start with. That was ok. I have completed the missing words in my own style.

The following dictionary site helps you much in finding words, and synonyms, etc.

    Default My Beloved

Based on the above translations, and taking a little poetic license, I've come up with an English version which scans to the melody... here 'tis, with gratitude to all the minds hitherto engaged. By the way my favorite version is the passionate Grup Cig - with the gleeful heavy metal insanity of Edip Akbayram a close second (I never knew heartbreak could be expressed with major chords so awesomely!).

    My Beloved
    (Yarim, Yarim)

Loving you I've fallen into savage fashion
I've gone diving into fire, become ashen
Put on iron shoes and follow my passion
    Mountainous trails to the wilderness

    (chorus: )

There is a way from world to world.
    Ask me where, my beloved.
    Find me there, my beloved.
    Look at me, my beloved.
    Ah me, ah my love.

You the pencil, I the paper.
    Write on me, my beloved.
    Draw on me, my beloved.
    Work me out, my beloved.
    Ah me, ah my love.

    (verse 2: )

Take my body as the plectrum in your hands!
Burning, burning, with the love song in your tongue!
Crying, crying, ring the ballad on your guitar!

Mounting the trails to the wilderness.

    (chorus)
