Default 80s song, not very popular, pop style duet. Please help! [humming link included]

    Hi all.
Ok, it seems a forum is my last chance. This is the only song I still looking for. The problem is, I don't remember much about it at all.
I had it on tape in 1990, so I suppose it was a 80s song.
I may be wrong, but the lyrics were like (I didnt speak englisch at this time, so I may be quite wrong...)
"... for you, and me, can't you seeeeeeeee, can't you seeeee".

If you guys can help me, you would make a person very happy
    Thx in advance

here is a humming to that song:

The first song I thought of is actually a 70's song. This song is not a duet but may have been covered as a duet by another artist...

    Joe Cocker - You Are So Beautiful {1974}

thx guys for the help. No it's not Joe Cocker and it sounds totally different, the song is more "happy" than that. And I'm 90% sure it was a duet with a girl. It doesnt sound 70s either, it's 80s for sure.

@TheMusicLuvR: hehe great, better than nothing. I never heard this song on radio or anywhere else and my cassette is broken since 18 years

    >.< Oooh, if it's the song I'm thinking of...

Does it have VERY high-pitched male vocals? Because then, I'm positive that I KNOW what song it is, but I've never been able to understand the lyrics.

MusicLuvR, do you remember the year and who the artist sounds like?

I have no idea as to the actual year; the song I'm thinking of I've heard on the radio many times and just assumed it was late 70s.

Like I said, I think it has really high, almost (but not quite) disco like vocals. Is that the one?

    hi guys,
ya, high-picthed male vocal could be, but as far as I remember it wasn't thaaat high, but higher than average
    Late 70s could also be.

When 'high pitched male vocal' was mentioned, I thought of the Bee Gees. Barry Gibb did a couple of duets with Barbara Streisand. He wrote all songs on Streisand's 'Guilty' album at her request.

This is NOT the song I was thinking of, but it came on the radio and the chorus is very, very close to what you hummed. The singer's voice is higher than usual and it's DEFINITELY 80s. Give it a shot.

hi guys, thanks for keep searching!
The Barbara Streisand songs are too "baladish" and I think we shouldnt focus too much on the "pitch" of the singer, since I didnt have that in mind, that his voice was so high and for sure definitely not as close to the Gibb voice. The survivors song is too rockish, and it's not a duo, the melody at begin sounds slightly similar though.
Again thx for trying to help me!

Just checked, the song is too rockish and the voice is too harsh. There is no women voice either.
    Thanks anyway

Duet, 1988, man with slightly high pitch, upbeat pop and the words are close. As for the humming well...it's not too incompatible, ahem...

Al Green & Annie Lennox - Put a Little Love in Your Heart
(originally hugely popular by Jackie DeShannon in 1969)

    Klaus,

Where did you hear this song (what country)?

Do you believe this was an international hit song?

Did you record the cassette or was the cassette released by an artist and purchased from a store?

This song is from 1991 and has some of your lyrics...

Color Me Badd - I Wanna Sex You Up

Do you have the original broken cassette? If you do, the tape can be transferred to a new cassette body and then a sample can be uploaded to Zshare.
