i was just in starbucks a bit ago and heard a song by a female artist with the lyrics
"I know it had to hurt you, but it breaks my heart in two"
i think that was part of the chorus.

Anyone know who sings and what song???

OMG, that's so funny. the same exact song was driving me crazy because I didn't know what it was, but it was so beautiful, and same as you, I heard it in Starbucks. BUT I found it, after googling everything possible to find it. It is called Fidelity, sung by Regina Spektor, one of my favorite artists.
